late nights...

I'm starting my first Baby Surprise Jacket for a new addition to our clan (not me). It's done in Blue Sky Cotton, a chocolate brown and pink. This is a bobbin full of the brown BFL, I started spindle spinning a long time ago.
I'm having such a fun time with my new wheel, I stayed up till 1am one morning, not a good thing when your little one gets up at 6am and still doesn't sleep through the night :P No matter, I'll catch up on my sleep in 7-10 years!

That's okay, a friend of mine who recently discovered/is now obsessed with spinning and knitting recently turned down s*x with her husband because she wanted to keep knitting.

She is exhausted because she can't stop knitting, or lying in bed thinking about knitting.

And spinning, in my opinion, is more addictive.

Whoops, I forgot to say congratulations on your new wheel! How exciting. I somehow thought you already had one, and in my blog skimming (way behind, still) I didn't even read your previous post. Sorry about that.

Learning to spin and getting a wheel are two wonderful things! It looks like you are really getting the hang of it, too.

LOL I keep telling myself that about sleep! Finally my six year old thinks it's ok for at least one parent to sleep in on weekends. So we take turns:)

Nice spinning. I need to make some time for my wheel. She's like a neglected wife, lol.

you are a brave girl. i totally force myself to put down the knitting at 1039...latest time i allow myself. now maybe if it was just one...haha. i have stayed far, far away from the wheel, scary to think of becoming more obsessed with fiber. maybe in 7-1o years..hmmm.

I used to get by on 5 hours, now I need at least 7. I always try to push it though...always a bad idea. Your spinning looks so pretty. One day, I too will be able to spin pretty yarn!

I see you got your priorities straight. ;)
Lets hope you can catch up on your sleep sooner than that!

You'll never get your lost sleep back, you know! Especially when Robby is a teenager! :o)
I know how addicting spinning can be. Wish you many happy hours with your wheel!

Your newly spun yarn looks great!
Good luck on your BSJ. They're crazy addictive and make great shower gifts. I've made three so far.

Hey Bea,

How have you been? I signed Ella and Simon up for a learn to knit class and was wondering if you would have a suggestion for where to buy needles and yarn online. I don't really know my way around Denver too well to find a store, and who wants to take three kids into a store when you can order online. Thanks for any help.
