Greetings from Ataranta
I'm posting from Atlanta this week, we've had lots of fun so far. Robby's been a hit so far. We tried feeding him a little rice cereal to see how he would doCheck out the crazy eyes in the first picture! He didn't take as well to it as I thought he would, I think he's more interested in the spoon, so I just give him a few tablespoons a day at most. I finished my shawl. Here is a picture of it warming the shoulders of my halmoni, it was 80 degrees in the house but she was happy to oblige, I hope it keeps her cozy when the weather gets cold this fall. It's been great being with my family, but I really wish my Korean was better, it's so hard to communicate with my halmoni, I wish I could understand more of her stories, she was born in 1916 and has so many interesting stories I wish I could hear.I'm already thinking of what I can make for my aunt for a present, a felted vest maybe....And speaking of presents, I started this for my mother in law, a belated birthday present, but heck, everything is belated these days!

ooh, you do great lacework! I have yet to tackle that one...
Robby looks like he's having fun chasing the spoon! Just wait until he grabs the whole dish!
Yeah, grabs the whole dish and throws it back at you! haha
I always bribed my kiddos with applesauce mixed with the rice cereal. Works everytime. :) Although the middle NEVER would eat it.
Love your shawls too! They are so beautiful and inspiring.
That shawl is just beautiful and your halmoni looks great wearing it.
your halmoni looks like a natural in that shawl, like she was born to wear it.
the new one looks beautiful too!
Beautiful! What a great thing for your halmoni! Lovely.
P.S. It took a long time for my kids to take to eating food. But it's so fun to see when they really like something!
How you can find the time to do such beautiful lacework with a small child in the house is incredible.
Oh wow! The shawl is gorgeous!
In the first picture it looks like Robby is starving and telling you to give him the damn bowl :)
Hey lovely photos...thanks for sharing them with us...it was absolutely wonderful going through your post!!!!
I love love love the swallowtail. I am thinking of pulling out my Charlotte's Web and making the swallowtail instead. What is the secong shawl that you are making?
What beautiful shawls you make! Your family is so lucky, to get these lovely gifts.
what a beautiful baby...he reminds me so much at my nephew when he was that age.
I have an 85 yr old grandma, she's not the type that will sit down with you and tell you her stories, she's more that type of "let's go have a drink and dance" (yeap had to be a latina grandma!)
Hi Bea, I'm making the size 36" K.H. cardigan and so far it's been O.K. nothing weird. It's just me, not liking to knit garments. I haven't found any errors either. It's not hard to memorize the stitch pattern (12 rows) and very locigal. It would be wonderful if you would have the magazine and even more so, if you would part with it! I don't know if you look into your comments from time to time, since I see, that you don't have updated your blog lately. You have a wonderful cute baby boy! ;o)
Tag you're it! Check out my blog.
Halmoni looks great in that shawl. You're so lucky that she's still around! I had the same type of language problem with my Obaachan, but it didn't diminish the love I had for her.
hi bea, thanks for the comment over at my blog. i really appreciate knowing other moms feel as i do and knowing it is okay, just part of this new mom territory. btw: the person feeding robby in the pics, where did that sweet shirt come from....jack skelington is one of my favorite characters ever, gotta love tim burton.
That is an amazingly gorgeous shawl. Robby is so cute! It looks like you're having lots of fun.
